Why no s low iirish airs ,with song ..?..always twingy twangy fast pased monotonous ,tunes ....?😊
Total Klasse .... 😂
Another great seisún
Fine seisún... looks like a great place.
9 years for another comment! Lovely song, evokes such nostalgia for the proud days of working horses.
God dammit, stop clapping on the beat. This audience wouldn’t swing if you hung ‘em.
Love this SO much! Thanks for sharing!!😃
Written by Robin Laing.
The tune at the start is “The Highlandman” which is possibly associated with Con Cassidy...followed by “The Cliffs of Glencolmkille” and “Old Cuffe Street”. Maybe all of these are from Con Cassidy lol. Or not! He no doubt played these tunes at some point.
nothing like horrible off tempo clapping...
Brings a tear to the eye every time. Thanks for post
Nice bit of drill. A good job. Miss the distinctive uniforms though.
LOVE this song! My FAVORITE song by Gaelic Storm!
PATRICK MURPHY IS FREAKING HILARIOUS!!!

Beautiful ... but then anything from Ed Miller will be beautiful. Many thanks to the uploader for this one.
This is not "Con Cassidy's and Neil Gow's Highlands / Moll and Tiarna / McSweeney's Reels" from Altan's "Horse With A Heart" (1989)! This is "The Highlandman/The Cliffs of Glencolumbkille/Old Cuffe Street" from Frankie Kennedy & Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh's "Altan" (1987) !
Song written by Our old mate Jack Foley [ Hamilton Scotland] Ed is still an Embro lad at heart
LOVE Ed Miller!!! Had the great pleasure to meet him at the Austin Celtic Festival a few years back!

Just heard this magnificent set on the celtic podcast. You guys rock absolutely!!!!!!!
I know Ed Miller and Brian Mcneill, they are both great singers and musicians.
They were in TEXAS? Dammit!
They're my favourite Irish trad band for ages. Love them. They're soo nice in person. wouldn't meet anybody nicer.

Very Nice!
what the hell is wrong with the crowd? are they dead or what? what a disgrace
one of my favorite tunes, well done!!!! :)
Great song indeed!! Was so disappointed when I had found out Brian wasn't coming to Goderich this year. After two weeks of aftermath, I really badly wanted to hear this song. And here I found it :) I've always loved this song (not to mention Brian lol).
Sorry had to fix it. Forgot that after 95 Col. Leiss retired and the team fell apart.
@redbaker Actually Roy we didnt get first in Exhibition, but we did take first in every other category. @Centurion96 It was Moreno Valley High School from Moreno Valley, Ca that took first in everything but Exhibition and took home the sweepstakes trophy from that year and many before

Go Sarah!
Kristen Jensen ROCKS that fiddle!
Yearp! Or, if you were C/Capt Quesnell on the team that year, "Hillary!"
@ redbaker1 In 1995, Morse High School from San Diego took the Sweepstakes trophy. They have an outstanding JROTC program there, and we had a pretty healthy respect for them, especially considering two of our Squad Leaders graduated from there before coming to NMMI. Even though Morse took Sweepstakes, we did place 1st in Exhibition. It was a foundation to build on for the next year in 1996, when we did finally take Sweepstakes.
Good rendition of this Peggy Seeger classic. But as a railroader, I'm disappointed you left out the railway stanza, very British though it may be: Here's to the drivers and firemen and the rest of the team, Who keep the stock rolling by diesel and steam, To the cleaners and shunters who work night and day, And the track laying gangs on the permanent way
gaelic storm is the best........
best song everrrrrrr...........
@Centurion96 I think you are right at the AF Academy plagiarism. look at 2:20 and that is one of their moves in their current routine. Also, some formations of the USAFA honor guard seem to be derived from this routine as well. never occured to me. I feel even better knowing that we inspire even the academies.
@thepennywhistler the first tune is called the mist covered mountain the second one i dont know
Great! Wish we could have been there. What's the name of that tune?
Oh yeah.....Just moving to Arizona from Texas.....and seeing this guy live....he should do one about Arizona too
